§1 Introduction
This Cookie Policy explains how PPPM Academy ("we", "us", or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website www.pppmacademy.com. It forms part of our Privacy Policy and is compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the ePrivacy Directive.
§2 What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites function properly, remember your preferences, and gather analytics to improve performance.
§3 Types of Cookies We Use

These cookies are essential for the Website to function and cannot be disabled. They enable basic features like page navigation, secure login, and saving preferences. -

These cookies allow us to remember your preferences (such as language or region) and enhance your experience. -
Analytics Cookies
These help us understand how visitors interact with the Website by collecting anonymous information. We may use tools like Matomo or Google Analytics. -
Marketing Cookies
These cookies track browsing habits to display relevant advertisements. They may be set by us or third-party providers such as YouTube, Meta, or Google Ads.
§4 Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies are set by third-party services we use (e.g., video platforms, analytics tools, ad networks). These providers may collect data independently and have their own privacy policies.

§7 Cookies We Use
§7.1 Video Hosting (YouTube & Bunny.net)
Nature and Scope of Processing
We embed videos on our website to deliver educational content. For this, we use external providers such as YouTube (Google Ireland Limited) and Bunny.net (BunnyWay d.o.o., Slovenia). When you load or play such videos, your browser connects to the respective provider's servers, and certain personal data (e.g., IP address, device/browser information, referrer URL, interaction with the video) may be transmitted.
Controllers and Data Recipients
- YouTube / Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Parent company: Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
- Bunny.net / BunnyWay d.o.o., Cesta komandanta Staneta 4A, 1215 Medvode, Slovenia. Uses a global CDN with possible servers outside the EU.
Each provider acts as its own data controller for any processing performed on their systems. Further details are available in their respective privacy policies:
- YouTube/Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
- Bunny.net Privacy Policy: https://bunny.net/privacy
Legal Bases (GDPR)
- Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR - Consent: for loading/playing external videos and setting non-essential cookies or similar technologies.
- Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR - Legitimate Interests: where we implement technical safeguards (e.g., preview images, lazy loading) that avoid non-essential cookies until you interact. Our interest is in offering multimedia learning content while protecting user privacy. You can object at any time.
International Data Transfers
YouTube/Google may transfer data to the USA and other countries outside the EEA. Bunny.net primarily processes data in the EU (Slovenia) but may use global CDN edge nodes. In such cases, both providers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and other safeguards to ensure GDPR-compliant protection.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
YouTube may place cookies or use local storage for analytics, personalization, and advertising. Using privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com) reduces but does not completely prevent tracking once you play a video. Bunny.net generally does not set marketing cookies; technical storage may be used for streaming, security, and performance (e.g., load balancing, remembering playback settings).
Retention
We do not store additional personal data solely due to embedding videos. The providers determine their own retention periods (see their privacy policies). Our consent records (your choices in the cookie banner) are stored for up to 12 months or until you change/withdraw consent.
Consent and Control
External video content only loads with your consent via our Cookie/Consent banner or when you click on a preview image (“two-click solution”). You can change or withdraw consent at any time in “Cookie Settings.” If you withdraw consent, videos will no longer load automatically.
How We Embed Videos Safely
- Privacy-enhanced YouTube mode: embeds use
youtube-nocookie.com. - Consent gating: if you decline cookies, no connection to YouTube or Bunny.net will be made.
Your Rights
You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection under the GDPR, as well as the right to withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. You may also lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde, www.dsb.gv.at).
Further Information and Contact
For questions about video embeds and data protection on our site, please contact our privacy contact as listed in this Privacy Policy. For provider-specific processing, please consult YouTube's and Bunny.net's privacy policies directly.
§7.2 Payment Processing (Stripe)
For secure payments and fraud prevention, our payment provider Stripe may set technical cookies or use similar technologies. These are strictly necessary for the functioning and security of the payment process and cannot be disabled.
| Cookie Name | Provider | Purpose | Type | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| __stripe_mid | Stripe | Fraud prevention and payment session identification | Strictly Necessary | Up to 1 year |
| __stripe_sid | Stripe | Temporary session identifier for secure payment processing | Strictly Necessary | Up to 30 minutes |
Stripe may also use additional technical storage (e.g., local storage) to maintain security and payment integrity. For more details, see Stripe’s Privacy Policy: https://stripe.com/privacy.

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date.
